Nakoma Tennis

Nakoma Golf Club has a long history of providing its members with the ultimate tennis experience while establishing a tradition of success with our Junior, Men’s, and Women’s players. Under the leadership of Tennis Director Steve Klaas USPTA, the Nakoma staff is dedicated to developing players and promoting tennis as a sport that provides lifetime fitness and family fun.

Tennis enthusiasts can enjoy four outdoor lighted US Open blue hardcourt tennis courts, as well as a full-service pro shop. Nakoma offers four Pickleball courts that are located on tennis courts #3 and #4. Pickleball courts can be reserved, as well as equipment (paddles and balls) from the tennis pro shop. Every Wednesday evening there is social pickleball where players can just show up and play. Nakoma also offers two platform tennis courts which are available for play year-round.

Spring and Fall Tennis Programs
Nakoma is proud to offer members a Spring and Fall Tennis program that other clubs in the Madison area do not. Classes for both adults and juniors begin mid-April and continue through October. Adult classes are offered six out of the seven days of the week (including weekends), while Junior classes are offered in the evenings (after school). We understand that Spring and Fall schedules are hectic with school and activities, do not hesitate to contact Steve if you encounter any scheduling conflicts. We will strive to accommodate all requests when it comes to getting your kids involved with Nakoma's tennis program.

Summer Tennis Program
Our adult summer program offers weekday morning and weekday evening drills; as well as Saturday and Sunday drills. We offer ladies, men's, and co-ed drills for all abilities. In addition, several socials and mixers are offered on the weekends throughout the summer.

Adult & Junior Tennis Social Events
Several social events for both adults and juniors are offered during the Nakoma tennis season. Family events include our "Meet and Greet Tennis Night", Pro Exhibition", and "Awards Banquet". Adult events include our monthly "TGIF Drink and Drills", Platform Tennis League, and tournaments. Junior events include our "School's Out Game Night", "Pizza and Tennis Night", and our "Ultimate Tournament" (Tennis, Ping Pong, and Wii Tennis). All abilities are invited to join in the fun!

Tennis Pro Shop
Nakoma offers a full-service tennis pro shop. Anything from racquet repair, restringing, demo racquets, new racquets, shoes, bags, apparel, and anything regarding tennis. If there is something that you need, we can order it and have it shipped.
